Mitchell, in collaboration with TPAO and Continental Resources, projected that non-conventional hydrocarbon resources in the Diyarbakır Basin could reach daily production of 250,000 barrels of oil and 25-50 million cubic meters of natural gas within five years. The basin, alongside the Thrace Basin, holds significant potential due to its geological characteristics. The company emphasized that 25 horizontal drilling rigs could match the efficiency of 4-5 vertical wells while occupying less surface area.
