Interior Minister Mustafa Çiftçi emphasized that stadiums should not be places where children fear, but rather where they can enjoy sports, following an incident where a small child wore a Fenerbahçe jersey at a Gençlerbirliği-Fenerbahçe match. 'Tribünler çocuklarımızın korkacağı değil, sporun coşkusunu yaşayacağı yerlerdir' he stated, thanking the police and declaring that 'holiganism will never be tolerated.' One person was detained in the incident.
