The California-based plant-based giant is attempting to engineer its way out of a liquidity crisis that has seen its stock trade as a penny stock for the better part of 2026.

Desperate Bid for Nasdaq Compliance

The company received a delisting warning in March after its shares traded below the $1 threshold for 30 consecutive business days. Facing an August 31 deadline to restore compliance, Beyond Meat is resorting to a financial maneuver typically reserved for companies in severe distress.
