Bitcoin (BTC) surpassed $66,000, reaching its highest level in a month, as price action defied recent resistance. BTC/USD hit $66,306 on Bitstamp, a level last seen on June 17. Traders are now eyeing $67,000 or higher. CoinGlass data shows 24-hour crypto liquidations exceeding $200 million. Analysts are monitoring Fed policies ahead of the July 29 meeting. QCP Capital noted increased demand for higher Bitcoin prices through July. Bitcoin ETFs are on a 5-day inflow streak, the longest since May. The US-Iran war is also fueling Bitcoin's rally.
A breakout to $70,000 could signal a potential price surge, with Fed policy decisions playing a crucial role. If achieved, Bitcoin's dominance over altcoins may intensify.
