Bitmine's ETH Accumulation: Strengthening Position as World's Largest Corporate ETH Holder
Bitmine Immersion Technologies (NYSE: BMNR) has increased its Ethereum holdings by an additional 27,801 ETH over the past week, bringing its total ETH treasury to 5.77 million tokens. With Ethereum's circulating supply at 120.7 million tokens, Bitmine now controls 4.8% of the circulating supply, solidifying its position as the world's largest corporate holder of ETH. The company's total ETH holdings are valued at $10.5 billion, with 85% of its holdings staked. Bitmine projects its annualized staking revenue at $242 million. The BMNR stock has declined 64% over the past 12 months, trading at $14.60 per share. Ethereum is currently trading at $1,765, down 64% from its all-time high of $4,946. Bitmine is 96% of the way toward its stated goal of owning 5% of Ethereum's circulating supply and continues to maintain an elevated pace of buying as the price remains below the key support level of $2,000.
The long-term price trajectory of ETH will determine the effectiveness of Bitmine's staking strategy. As the China-U.S. tech war intensifies, demand for semiconductor chips is rising, potentially boosting Ethereum's adoption among institutional investors.
