Highlighting that nearly all 2.1 million residents of Gaza face prolonged displacement, Dujarric noted civilians are affected by Israeli airstrikes and movement restrictions along the so-called 'green line'. The spokesperson warned of persistent infectious disease outbreaks, particularly waterborne illnesses in the Khan Younis area, where over 18,000 new cases of conjunctivitis, parasitic infections, and bacterial skin infections (impetigo) were reported last week.
