The Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) voted 9-3 to keep the federal funds rate in the 3.50%-3.75% range, maintaining the same policy for the first four meetings of the year. Cleveland Fed Chair Beth Hammack, Minneapolis Fed Chair Neel Kashkari, and Dallas Fed Chair Lorie Logan's rejection of a 25 basis point hike proposal softened market expectations for a more hawkish stance.
