France Wheat Yields Plummet: Critical Season for Agricultural Sector

French wheat producers have announced that this season's yields will reach 7.0 metric tons per hectare. This figure is below the five-year average by 3%. As the EU's largest grain producer, France is facing a challenging season due to excessive rainfall, insufficient sunlight, and heatwaves. Soft wheat yields are 4% below average, while winter barley yields are approaching average levels. However, spring barley failed to meet expectations.
