Turkey is strengthening its claim to be an East-West corridor in the global artificial intelligence ecosystem, aiming to mobilize $10 billion from the private sector and achieve 1 gigawatt of data center capacity by 2030, with this transformation set to be crowned by the GITEX Ai Türkiye 2026 event in Istanbul.
The $58 Billion Tech Vision
The roadmap for Turkey's digital future, outlined by the Presidency's Investment Office, contains striking growth projections and investment targets:

Organized by inD, a joint venture of Dubai World Trade Centre and Informa, the event takes place with Anadolu Agency as the global communication partner, the Ministry of Industry and Technology as a strategic partner, and Halkbank as the platinum sponsor:
These targets indicate that Turkey is recalibrating its macroeconomic structure through technology expenditures and digital infrastructure investments. Raising data center capacity to 1 gigawatt is viewed not just as an energy and infrastructure investment, but as a critical threshold value that will trigger international capital inflows. The $559 million quarterly investment in the startup ecosystem serves as a significant leading indicator regarding the integration of liquidity flows into the real economy.
