Izmir Bus Station's Management Rights Transferred to Municipal Subsidiaries: 5-Year Partnership Deal
İzmir Büyükşehir Belediyesi, İzmir Otogarı'nın işletme hakkını devraldıktan sonra, otogarın bünyesindeki otopark, ticari alan ve ulaşım işletmelerinin

The Izmir Metropolitan Municipality has taken over the management rights of Izmir Bus Station after previously awarding them to IZOTAS under a BOT model. The municipality has now decided to transfer the operation of parking lots to IZELMAN A.S., commercial areas to GRAND PLAZA A.S., and transportation services to IZULAŞ A.S. for a five-year period. Thirty percent of the revenue generated will be allocated to the municipality. This move marks a shift from the previous BOT model to municipal subsidiaries. During the same meeting, a 20% increase in fares for personnel and student services was approved unanimously. These decisions reflect the municipality's strategy to balance costs by increasing public participation in services. The transfer of the bus station's management rights to municipal subsidiaries aims to optimize public finances and improve service quality. This development can be seen as the beginning of a new era for Izmir's transportation infrastructure.
