Jersey Mike’s IPO Valuation Surges Above Restaurant Sector Peers

Jersey Mike’s, a New Jersey-based sandwich chain, has launched an IPO offering 43.5 million shares at a price range of $21 to $25. The company is valued at approximately $7.3 billion, significantly surpassing Sweetgreen’s market cap of $800 million. Private equity firms like Blackstone and the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority are selling shares to realize substantial gains. With nearly 3,300 locations, Jersey Mike’s is the second-largest sandwich chain in the U.S. behind Subway. The company reported a 50% same-store sales growth from 2020 to 2025 and a net income of $55 million on $724 million in revenue last year. Its franchise model ensures low capital requirements and high operating margins. The IPO reflects strong investor confidence in the restaurant sector’s growth potential.
