Morgan Stanley Expands Crypto ETF Suite with Ethereum and Solana Trusts

Morgan Stanley has launched two new crypto ETFs on NYSE Arca, offering investors exposure to Ethereum and Solana. The Morgan Stanley Ethereum Trust (MSSE) and Morgan Stanley Solana Trust (MSOL) provide both spot price exposure and additional income from staking yields. MSSE aims to stake between 50%-80% of ETH, targeting an annual yield of around 1.7%, while MSOL will stake 100% of SOL, expecting a 3.4% yield. Both funds feature a low expense ratio of 14 basis points. Morgan Stanley is positioning these ETFs to bridge traditional and decentralized asset classes, reflecting the growing importance of crypto assets in investment portfolios. The funds will track the CoinDesk 4PM NY Settlement Rate benchmarks to reflect true market values. Morgan Stanley's extensive wealth advisor network and direct-to-consumer channel are expected to drive steady inflows.

The launch of these ETFs underscores the increasing acceptance of crypto assets among investors. Morgan Stanley's strategy could set a precedent for how traditional finance integrates with crypto assets.
