Motorin Price Drop: VAT Zero Leads to 10% Discount in Fuel Prices
Ağustos ayında motorin litre fiyatlarında 9 lira üstü düşüş yaşandı. 80 lira 5 kuruş seviyesinden 70 lira 80 kuruş seviyesine gerileme yaşayan motorin
Motorin fuel prices saw a drop exceeding 9 TL in August, falling from 80 TL 5 kuruş to 70 TL 80 kuruş per liter. The price reduction, which exceeded 10%, was driven by the zeroing of the VAT (Special Consumption Tax) for the month. This move, part of the government's inflation-fighting measures, directly impacted pump prices at fuel stations. VAT rates will gradually increase from September, reaching 12 TL by December 2026 and 13,9006 TL by January 2027. The development could influence both fuel demand and the strategies of oil producers and distributors, with short-term effects on market dynamics.
