Turkey's 5G transition has intensified operator competition, with the number of firms in the electronic communications sector rising to 416 and licenses reaching 782. Transportation Minister Abdulkadir Uraloğlu revealed that net sales revenues in the sector totaled 17.97 billion lira, while investments topped 26.3 billion lira. This growth was accompanied by a record 3.5 million number portings, bringing the total ported numbers to 218.239 million. Mobile subscriber count reached 86 million, with penetration rising to 100.3%.
The fierce competition among operators is reshaping 5G pricing and package strategies, while rising investments signal confidence in the sector's future. Markets will closely monitor these developments.
