QNB Bank A.Ş. reported a 34% increase in its net period profit for the first half of 2026, reaching $29.3 billion from $21.9 billion in the same period last year. This performance was driven by a 5% rise in interest income and a 26% growth in net operating profit. Interest income surged to $225.1 billion, while net revenue and commission income increased by 21% to $44.6 billion. The bank's credit portfolio expanded by 8% to $1.31 trillion, while deposits grew by 7% to $1.12 trillion. Equity capital rose by 8% to $200.5 billion, while expected loss provisions stood at $65.9 billion. QNBTR stock fluctuated between $197.70 and $250 during the 2026/1 period. These results suggest a strengthening in the bank's market position.
Market analysts view QNB's performance in a high-interest environment as a sign of success in its credit strategies amid Turkey's economic growth. Speculation also arises about increased dark pool usage, reflecting 'smart money's' confidence in the bank.
