Bengaluru-based fintech Navi has achieved a $1.3 billion valuation after securing $100 million from Prosus. Founded in 2018 by Flipkart co-founder Sachin Bansal, Navi offers digital payments, lending, insurance, and mutual funds. Despite seeking $2 billion in 2024, the company settled for a $1.3 billion valuation in this round. Navi's UPI payment app ranks fourth in India, processing 947 million transactions worth $5 billion in July. Its lending arm, Navi Finserv, manages $1.4 billion in assets. Bansal praised Prosus's global perspective, emphasizing Navi's ambition to become a banking powerhouse. The company reported $323 million in revenue and $48 million in net loss for FY 2026, while preparing for a $314 million IPO. How Markets React? Navi's success highlights India's fintech sector's appeal to international capital, while Prosus's investment signals growing interest in Asian fintech opportunities.
