Presidency of Defense Industries (SSB) Chairman Haluk Görgün stated that Turkey's defense industry exports increased by 30% in the last 12 months and reached $11 billion. Görgün said, 'Turkey is a country that can export an average of $800 million to $1 billion per month.' Turkey has realized 56% of its defense industry exports to NATO and European Union member countries. Görgün noted, 'While sharing the systems we have developed with friendly and allied countries, we are not only explaining the technical products and their cost-effectiveness, but also the long-term business models.' Turkey's defense industry exports indicate a strong infrastructure in the field and its contribution to NATO. The introduction of approximately $70 billion worth of supply contracts in areas such as drone systems, air defense systems, ammunition, satellite, and space demonstrates this. These developments emphasize Turkey's strong infrastructure in the defense industry and its contribution to NATO. In the context of the NATO Defense Industry Forum, Turkey's determination to work together with its allies and its potential to become a driving force in NATO's deterrence architecture are highlighted.
