Solana Cuts Slot Time to 350 Milliseconds: 200ms Target in Sight
Solana, ağının slot süresini ilk kez doğumundan bu yana 350 milisaniyeye düşürdü. Solana Vakfı'nın teknoloji başkanı Jacob Creech, '350 milisaniye çağ

Solana has reduced its network's slot time to 350 milliseconds for the first time since its inception. Jacob Creech, Solana Foundation's VP of Technology, called it the 'beginning of the 350ms era' and hinted at the 'next target of 300ms.' Current average slot time is 360ms, surpassing the original 400ms target. Solana aims to lower slot times to 200ms to improve latency and accelerate confirmations. This will be achieved in four staged reductions, implemented via the Agave v4.2 validator client. The SIMD-0525 proposal, enabling the shorter slot times, was approved and merged on May 14. This development is seen as a critical step to enhance Solana's performance and competitive edge in the crypto space.
The reduction in Solana's slot time will improve the network's scalability and enable faster transaction confirmations, potentially drawing more attention in the crypto market. This could also position Solana as a stronger competitor against networks like Ethereum.
