Turkey-Canada FTA Talks Officially Launched: Future of Economic Partnership

The Ministry of Trade announced that the technical teams of both countries will work on determining the scope and objectives of the agreement and prepare for the first round of negotiations. In a statement, it was stated that the leaders of the two countries gave instructions to officially launch the FTA negotiations, aiming to deepen the economic partnership between Turkey and Canada. The statement also emphasized that Turkey will make intense efforts to conclude an agreement that will support economic growth, create employment, increase competitiveness, strengthen supply chains, and improve economic cooperation with Canada. This development can be seen as an important step in Turkey's efforts to increase its exports and reduce its foreign trade deficit. With the completion of the FTA agreement, an increase in trade volume between Turkey and Canada is expected, which can provide economic benefits to both countries and contribute to the development of regional trade.
