Talas Municipality Secures $400,000 Grant for Climate Museum Project

Talas Mayor Mustafa Yalçın has secured a 4 million lira grant from the Turkish Environment Agency to transform a historical cistern in Kayseri's Culture Street into a Climate Museum. The project aims to raise awareness among children about environmental and climate issues. Yalçın emphasized that the municipality has implemented a Conservation Zoning Plan covering approximately 2 million square meters to preserve the region's historical values. The initiative reflects the municipality's efforts to reinterpret its Ottoman-era cultural heritage in a modern context. The project was prepared with the support of the ORAN Development Agency. The municipality aims to enhance the region's tourism identity through such initiatives.
