Turkey's Tech Parks: 86 Projects Boosting Digital Accessibility for the Visually Impaired

Turkey has completed 42 projects in tech parks to enhance accessibility for visually impaired individuals in household electronics, including white goods, air conditioners, TVs, and remote controls. An additional 44 projects are currently underway. Ten R&D centers have also completed 11 projects in this area. In total, 27 R&D centers have implemented 34 projects for disabled citizens, with 6 projects still in progress. Industry and Technology Minister Mehmet Fatih Kacır emphasized that accessibility is a priority area for the Turkish Standards Institution (TSE), with national, European, and international standards being continuously monitored and updated. These efforts focus particularly on household electronics, information and communication technologies, and human-machine interaction.
These initiatives reflect Turkey's commitment to technological inclusivity, potentially influencing long-term corporate image and customer loyalty through corporate social responsibility projects. The markets will closely watch how these developments may impact the perception of companies' social responsibility efforts.
