US Debt Crisis: Bank of America Warns Bond Investors
ABD'nin 40 trilyon dolarlık borç seviyesinin artmasıyla Bank of America strategisti Michael Hartnett, tahvil yatırımlarına karşı dikkatli olma tavsiye

As the U.S. national debt approaches $40 trillion, Bank of America strategist Michael Hartnett has issued a warning to bond investors, citing the country's persistent large deficits. Hartnett noted that rising credit risks are a concern as the U.S. faces a 2023 inflation rate of 1.5% and a $4.3 trillion fiscal deficit. Long-term bond investors may face value erosion, particularly in a market where Nvidia and other tech stocks are under pressure due to reduced capital spending in a tightening credit environment. Hartnett's warning comes amid the U.S.'s 2024 inflation target of 2.1%, suggesting credit markets will remain tight.
The rising debt levels could also strain the supply chains of semiconductor manufacturers like ASML and TSMC, further exacerbating tensions in the China-U.S. rare earth elements conflict.
