A study led by Einav Hart at George Mason University analyzed 11.7 million transactions on Fiverr, finding that a one-hour delay correlates with a 46% reduction in job securing chances. A full day's delay results in a 90% drop. Even minor delays of five to ten minutes significantly reduce freelancer's prospects. Controlled experiments with 8,600 participants showed employers perceive quick responders as more friendly and capable. This bias extends to specialized fields like medical services and catering.
