The European Automobile Manufacturers' Association (ACEA) reported that new car registrations in EU countries reached 1.147,962 units in June, marking a 13.6% year-on-year increase. This growth is attributed to the rapid expansion of electric and hybrid models. In June, 68.9% of new car sales consisted of fully electric, hybrid, and plug-in hybrid vehicles. Electric vehicle sales alone surged by 60.7% year-on-year to 270,557 units. Volkswagen Group led the market with 291,366 sales, followed by Stellantis Group at 170,452 and Renault Group at 135,536. These figures highlight the growing demand for renewable energy sources in the EU automotive sector. Markets should closely monitor these developments and track the future performance of electric vehicle manufacturers.
