AK Party's Parliamentary Seats Rise to 280: Political and Economic Implications for Turkey

The Turkish Grand National Assembly has seen the Adalet ve Kalkınma Partisi (AK Party) increase its seat count to 280, while the number of independent deputies dropped to 10. This change was triggered by the AK Party's acquisition of three independent deputies: Mehmet Mustafa Gürban from Gaziantep, Ömer Karakaş from Aydın, and Mustafa Bilici from İzmir.
