Amazon's $200 Billion Quarter: AWS Growth and AI Investments
ABD merkezli e-ticaret devinin 30 Haziran'da sona eren ikinci çeyrekteki net kârı 62,6 milyar dolara yükselirken, net satışları ise yüzde 20 artışla 2
Amazon's net income for the second quarter ending June 30 surged to $62.6 billion, while net sales increased by 20% to $200.6 billion, setting a new record compared to the same period last year. The company's AWS revenue, which accounts for roughly one-fifth of its total earnings, grew by 37% to $42.2 billion, marking its highest growth rate since the fourth quarter of 2021. Bloomberg analysts had expected AWS revenue to average around $40.6 billion. Despite significant investments in AI infrastructure, Amazon anticipates its operating income will grow compared to the same period last year in the third quarter. The company plans to allocate approximately $200 billion in capital expenditures this year, primarily towards AI projects. Capital and equipment expenditures reached $53.4 billion.
AWS's competitive edge has been further strengthened by the company's ability to exceed analyst expectations in cloud computing while sustaining strong demand for AI services across five consecutive quarters. This performance will likely reinforce Amazon's leadership in global tech-driven sales.
