The IPO schedules of four key companies aiming to raise capital for energy and construction sectors in Turkey have been finalized. The largest of this wave, Metgün Enerji Yatırımları AŞ, will conduct its book-building process between July 20-22. With a share price of 20 TL, a total of 135 million 579 thousand B-class shares will be offered. Of these, 90 million 579 thousand new shares will be issued through capital increase, while 45 million shares owned by existing partner Metin Güneş will be sold via block deal. The total IPO size is expected to reach 2.71 billion TL. 80-90% of the proceeds will fund energy portfolio expansion and efficiency-enhancing investments, with the remaining 10-20% allocated to working capital.
Renewable Energy Investment Surge
Masfen Enerji will launch its book-building from July 22-24. At a share price of 45.68 TL, 85 million nominal shares will be offered, raising approximately 3.88 billion TL. 75% of the funds will support renewable energy projects, while 25% will strengthen operational capital.
Construction and Steel Sector Capital Boost
Albayrak Hazır Beton will hold its book-building on July 22-23. With a share price of 38.60 TL, the 2.70 billion TL IPO aims to finance new investments, working capital, machinery-equipment purchases, and debt reduction. Kardemir Çelik will conduct its book-building from July 22-24, offering shares at 35 TL with a total IPO size of 4.48 billion TL. The company plans to use the majority of proceeds for raw material procurement and working capital needs.
Markets are viewing this IPO wave as a significant signal, particularly for energy investments and renewable energy strategies, aligning with Turkey's carbon reduction goals. Metgün Enerji and Masfen Enerji's focus on renewable energy reflects broader sectoral shifts, while Albayrak Hazır Beton and Kardemir Çelik's emphasis on financial stability and operational expansion suggests short-term demand support for construction and steel industries. These offerings may reshape asset allocation patterns among domestic investors in energy and related sub-sectors.
