Düzce Exports 5,981 Tons of Hazelnuts to EU Countries

According to the announcement made by the Düzce Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry, the hazelnut exports to EU countries in January-June period were 5,981 tons. The majority of these exports consisted of processed hazelnuts. It was stated that the previous year's crop is still being processed in the domestic and foreign markets. In January, 811, in February 1026, in March 957, in April 1667, in May 839, and in June 681 tons, a total of 5,981 tons of processed hazelnuts were exported to EU countries. The statement said that preparations for the next season are ongoing in the gardens. 5,981 tons of hazelnut exports once again demonstrated Düzce's significant position in hazelnut production and exports. The fact that the previous year's crop is still being processed in the domestic and foreign markets contributed to the stable growth of the hazelnut sector. The concentration of hazelnut exports to EU countries demonstrated the sector's strength in global markets. Düzce's hazelnut exports reinforced Turkey's leadership in hazelnut exports.
