Türkiye'deki elektrikli araç kullanımının hızla artması, şarj altyapısının yoğun bir şekilde genişlemesine yol açtı. Bu yılın ilk yarısında toplam **1

The rapid growth in electric vehicle usage in Turkey has led to a significant expansion of the charging infrastructure. In the first half of this year, a total of 15.4 million 8578 charging transactions were recorded, with electricity consumption reaching 392,252 megawatt-hours. Compared to the same period last year, charging transactions increased by 96.6%, total charging time by 137.4%, and electricity consumption by 153.5%.
Expansion of Charging Infrastructure Details
The number of charging points in Turkey increased from 12,840 at the beginning of 2024 to 26,462 by the beginning of 2025. The total of 45,660 charging points includes 19,903 DC, 25,731 AC, and 26 mobile charging points.
User Experience with Şarj@TR App
EPDK Director of Energy Transformation İbrahim Öz highlighted that users can now track the geographic locations, power levels, and availability of charging stations in real-time through the Şarj@TR mobile application.
The rapid expansion of Turkey's electric vehicle market is driving a robust growth in the charging infrastructure. This development could increase demand for commercial credit, prompting the banking sector to reassess its financing strategies for electric vehicles. The sustainability of charging infrastructure investments and the maintenance of market competition will be critical in determining the macroeconomic policies' impact on the banking sector.
