Türkiye, ev ve mutfak eşyaları sektöründe Latin Amerika pazarına yönelerek 2026’da ihracatını **100 milyon dolar** üzerine çıkarmayı hedefliyor. ## P

Turkey is steering its home and kitchen goods sector toward the Latin American market, aiming to lift 2026 exports above $100 million.
Strategic Trade Mission in Panama
The Home & Kitchen Goods Manufacturers and Exporters Association (EVSID) and the Istanbul Iron and Non‑Ferrous Metals Exporters Association (IDDMIB) partnered with the Ministry of Trade to organize a delegation of 17 domestic manufacturers in Panama. Together with buyers from Panama, Colombia, Argentina, Mexico, Chile, Guatemala, Uruguay, El Salvador, Ecuador, Costa Rica and Venezuela, a total of 62 buyers were scheduled for 554 B2B meetings.
Market Size and Competitive Landscape
Export Performance and Outlook
In 2025, exports to Latin America grew 12%, reaching $66 million. Officials now target surpassing $100 million in 2026.
Operational Challenges and Strategic Solutions
Competing on price with low‑cost rivals is untenable; Turkish firms are pivoting to a quality‑focused, niche‑product strategy. Panama serves as a regional logistics hub, offering advantages through direct Turkish Airlines flights and a free‑trade zone. Moreover, Turkish firms are gaining visibility in Latin American procurement databases.
Expert Analysis (Dr. Aslıhan Demir): The $12.7 billion Latin American home‑and‑kitchen goods market presents a substantial growth avenue for Turkey, provided it leans on its quality‑design advantage. Currency volatility and price competition pressure margins, making Panama’s logistical benefits and direct THY routes crucial for cost mitigation. Achieving the $100 million export goal will hinge on scaling up quality‑centric investments and forging long‑term agreements with local distributors.
