Haluk Levent's 233 Million Dollar Real Estate Deal Faces Charges of Fraud

Bayram Doğan, a businessman who worked with Haluk Levent on a real estate deal, has filed a complaint with the authorities, alleging that he was defrauded out of 233 million Turkish lira.

According to Doğan, the two signed a contract on June 23, 2026, for the sale of 11 properties in Ataşehir for 233 million TL. However, Doğan claims that Levent failed to make payments, despite promising to do so.

'Doğan, who spoke to the press, said: 'We made the tapu entries for 6 of the properties, but for 4 of them, we gave the deeds to the people Haluk Levent mentioned in his Ahbap Derneği, a Turkish charity organization. 2 of the properties already had tapu fees paid. At that point, Haluk Levent did not make the payments. He also did not pay the 8 million TL in cash that he promised. When he did not pay, we cancelled the sale of 2 of the properties. We asked him to return the 4 properties, saying 'Haluk, this can't go on, you keep saying tomorrow, tomorrow.' He said, 'I will send it in 1-2 days,' but he did not send it.'

'Doğan also stated that he and his team had tried to contact Levent, but he did not respond.

Doğan continued: 'We filed a complaint with the authorities, as we realized we had been defrauded. We have also applied for a court order to freeze the assets of the people who received the tapus from us. We have also asked for a criminal investigation into Levent.'

Doğan added: 'We have been trying to contact Levent, but he has not responded. We believe he has been involved in a large-scale fraud scheme, and we will do everything in our power to bring him to justice.'

The scandal has attracted widespread attention in Turkey, with many calling for Levent to be held accountable for his actions.
