İbrahim Çeçen Vakfı, toplumsal gelişim alanında yeni bir dönem başlatarak TRA2 Bölgesi’ndeki Ağrı, Ardahan, Iğdır ve Kars illerinde kadınların güçlenm

The İbrahim Çeçen Foundation has launched a new phase in social development initiatives with the “Social Benefit Grant Program for Women's Empowerment”, covering TRA2 region provinces including Ağrı, Ardahan, Iğdır, and Kars. This marks a first in the foundation's history, offering financial support to women-focused projects through collaboration among civil society organizations, public institutions, and universities.
Strategic Framework and Funding Structure
The program provides grants ranging from 50,000 to 250,000 TL for projects addressing rural women's economic empowerment, cultural-sportive participation, and anti-violence efforts. Applications are submitted via icvakfi.org.tr, with an independent jury evaluating proposals based on need analysis, social impact potential, and sustainability. Project implementation periods range between 6 to 12 months.
Local Capacity Building and Collaborative Actors
Aligned with the foundation’s “collaborative philanthropy” philosophy, the program prioritizes projects developed through public-university-CSO partnerships and those incorporating co-funding. These initiatives aim to address local needs while reducing social exclusion and enhancing individual well-being.
Long-Term Impact and Leadership Perspective
Günseli Çeçen, Chairwoman of the Board, emphasized, “We believe that empowering women economically and socially is one of the fundamental pillars of regional development.” The foundation underscores its focus on delivering lasting and sustainable solutions beyond direct financial aid.
Zeynep Kaya Note: Such grants play a critical role in increasing financial independence among women in lower-income rural areas. In regions like TRA2, where income levels are relatively low, these programs could generate measurable effects on consumer spending power and savings rates. However, success hinges on project sustainability and alignment with local government policies.
