IMAX (NYSE:IMAX) and Goer Dynamics have unveiled a strategic partnership to engineer an IMAX-branded in-vehicle entertainment platform. Commercial production is slated to commence before the end of 2026. The modular system is designed to offer:

■Ambient light adaptation for varying driving conditions

Targeting the China Premium EV Surge

The collaboration is specifically aimed at the premium electric vehicle (EV) manufacturers in China. Daniel Manwaring, CEO of IMAX China, noted that the rise of autonomous driving technology is expected to pivot consumer demand toward sophisticated in-car entertainment systems.

Scaling Intelligence in the Cockpit

Goer Dynamics, a subsidiary of Goer Group—which owns prestigious audio brands including Dynaudio and Libratone—has already supplied entertainment systems to nearly 3 million new energy vehicles. This partnership represents a significant expansion of the IMAX brand into the emerging mobility sector.

From a global logistics and cargo perspective, the integration of high-value components like 4K displays and advanced acoustic hardware into the EV supply chain is significant.
