Hormuz Crisis: Iran-Oman Deal and Impact on Chip Wars Energy Prices
İran ve Oman, Hormuz Boğazı'nı yönetme konusunda bir anlaşmaya varmışlar. Bu anlaşma, boğazın güvenli geçişini sağlayacak ve İran'ın egemenliğini koru

Iran and Oman have reached an agreement on managing the Hormuz Strait. The deal aims to ensure safe passage and uphold Iran's sovereignty, but the US has not joined and is unlikely to accept terms that don't restore free transit. Brent crude prices rose nearly 6% this week as tensions persist. Attacks in the strait have continued, with 17 seafarers killed. Iran's economy has suffered from US sanctions, but they haven't forced Tehran to abandon its nuclear program. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that the Oman agreement won't lead to the strait's reopening. Meanwhile, the US is preparing new economic measures to pressure Iran. Trump's 'steel wall' blockade of Iranian ports is seen as a key factor in the crisis. These developments are also impacting the semiconductor industry. TSMC and ASML are assessing the risks of the Hormuz crisis on their supply chains. The China-US rare earth elements conflict adds another layer of uncertainty, affecting tech stocks like Nvidia. The potential for higher chip prices and production disruptions is a growing concern in the industry.
