Turkey's paper-carton packaging exports reached $528.8 million in the first half of 2026, up 3.26% from $512.1 million in the same period of 2025. A 0.51% decline in Q1 was offset by a 6.93% increase in Q2. The U.S. emerged as the top export market, growing 26.74% to $56.6 million, surpassing the UK at $56.4 million. Europe saw double-digit growth in Germany, Belgium, Bulgaria, and the Netherlands. Iraq, however, saw a 24.82% decline. The Association of Paper-Carton Packaging Manufacturers (KASAD) Chairman Alican Duran highlighted the sector's resilience, emphasizing the need to sustain momentum in the U.S. market and deepen growth in Europe.
Despite global uncertainties, Turkey's packaging exports are positioning the sector strongly in global markets, leveraging quality and flexibility advantages. The performance underscores the industry's future growth potential.
