In Yahyalı, women have transformed the region's flora into an economic opportunity through a partnership with Enerjisa and the Agricultural Directorate. 41 women, each receiving 5 beehives, have scaled their operations to 28 hives in three years, achieving 3 tons of honey production this year. Entrepreneur Ayşe Geyik noted, 'The flowers in Çamlıca Mahallesi, like clover and chamomile, produce high-quality honey.' The initiative not only boosts women's economic participation but also highlights the region's agricultural potential.
Such ventures could serve as pioneers for Turkey's sustainable agriculture policies. The growth of women's entrepreneurship enhances local employment while strengthening the country's global competitiveness.
