Metgün Energy Aims to Boost Turkey's Power Capacity to 1000 Megawatts
Ankara merkezli **Metgün Enerji**, 2018'den beri rüzgar, güneş ve hidroelektrik santrallerinde toplam 274,44 megavatlık kurulu güç kapasitesine sahip.
Headquartered in Ankara, Metgün Energy has reached a total installed capacity of 274.44 megawatts through wind, solar, and hydroelectric plants since 2018. The company plans to increase this capacity to 1000 megawatts by 2030. CEO Uğur Işık announced that the 2.7 billion lira raised through a public offering will be allocated 80-90% to renewable energy investments. Işık highlighted that 70% of the company's installed capacity is covered under the YEKDEM mechanism, allowing them to sell 70% of the generated energy at fixed prices, ensuring predictable revenue. The company aims to mitigate seasonal fluctuations through storage and hybrid projects while contributing to Turkey's domestic energy security. This expansion will mark a significant step toward Turkey's energy supply reliability.
