The platform, which focuses solely on sports events, was launched ahead of the NFL, NBA, and Premier League seasons. Baseball-related contracts accounted for 60% of its initial trading volume. Novig set a 21+ age limit and emphasized the CFTC's regulatory oversight, suing New York and other states over gambling laws. As a private company, Novig has not disclosed its valuation. While the legal battles surrounding prediction markets enhance its growth potential, long-term regulatory uncertainty remains a risk. This development highlights how niche platforms in the sports betting space could reshape the market dynamics.
