New York-based Ondo Finance is evaluating a potential acquisition worth between $250 million and $500 million. Sources indicate the company is targeting wealthtech sectors among others. Founded in 2021, Ondo is a tokenization platform specializing in bringing traditional financial assets on-chain, managing over $3.5 billion in tokenized assets. The company has not confirmed any acquisition talks. 2026 has seen strong dealmaking in crypto, with 89 transactions worth $3.2 billion in Q1 and $12.9 billion in Q2, the second-highest quarterly total ever. Ondo has raised just $24 million in venture funding, supplemented by a $10 million ONDO token sale. The ONDO token is trading 6% higher at $0.42. This acquisition reflects the sector's focus on tokenization and scaling infrastructure.
