Ali Güvenç Kiraz, head of the Real Estate Law Association, emphasized that consumers must verify whether rentals listed as short-term are indeed permitted. Kiraz stressed that - The rental agreement must clearly outline the duration, number of guests, payment terms, and additional expenses like utilities.
Consumer protection measures have become critical as vacation rental scams surge, particularly through unvetted social media listings. Fraud risks can lead to significant financial losses, necessitating legal safeguards for both renters and property owners.
