Alihan Kuriş Investigation: 1818 Property Transactions and Bank Transfers Under Scrutiny

The MASAK report conducted by the Ankara Public Prosecutor's Office has revealed extensive property transactions and bank transfers involving the Alihan Kuriş family since 2016. A total of 1818 TAKBİS transactions were recorded, encompassing sales, inheritances, consolidations, and termination of joint ownerships. The report highlights that Ayşe Gülderen Denizolgun Kuriş's 646 property transactions included offices, shops, farms, and various parcels. Hilmi Tuna Kuriş's records showed transfers and sales in 2024-2026, including the sale of the 2670/6 parcel to Hıdır Öztürk. Seda Kuriş's purchase of a 2023 model Mercedes-Benz C 200 4MATIC for 2,406,650 TRY, followed by its transfer to Mercedes Benz Otomotiv Ticaret ve Hizmetler AŞ, was also detailed. The report emphasizes the need to examine the alignment between inherited assets and bank transactions, as well as the rapid reconfiguration of property portfolios.

If such property movements correlate with the tightening of KOBİ lending and the slowdown in commercial credit growth, it underscores the urgency for banks to accelerate macroprudential measures to mitigate systemic risks.
