Apple has laid off 200 employees across its Vision Pro and Siri teams. According to sources, 100 workers were cut from the Vision Pro project, while another 100 were affected in the Siri and Intelligent Systems Experience divisions. The company explained the changes as part of its efforts 'to evolve our business to deliver the best experiences for our users.' Apple is reportedly realigning resources to focus on AI-driven new devices. This move comes amid rising production costs due to the chip shortage, as well as Apple's recent price hikes on Macs and iPads and the launch of a leasing program. Additionally, Apple is suing OpenAI for alleged trade theft. The layoffs may reflect Apple's strategic shift to strengthen its position in the chip supply chain and AI competition.
