BIST 100 Maintains Upward Momentum: Technical Roadmap to 14,000 Points

The BIST 100 index on Borsa Istanbul started the day with a rise of 0.19%, reaching 13,728.70 points, continuing the buying pressure from the previous session and realizing an increase of 25.57 points compared to the previous close.

Global Uncertainty and Domestic Data Flow

While developments determining risk appetite in global markets are closely monitored, ADP private sector employment data in the US falling below expectations and increasing concerns regarding AI regulations are making it difficult for investors to find direction. Domestically, the market's focus remains on weekly money and banking statistics.

Sectoral Rotation and Performance Analysis

Despite the general rise in the index, a significant divergence and rotation among sectors catches the eye:

■The Banking index gained 0.34%, signaling a recovery.

■The Holding index declined by 0.65%, facing pressure.

■On a sector basis, Sports was the top gainer with 1.32%, while securities investment trusts were the most declining group with 0.74%.

Critical Technical Levels and Resistances

Key price levels determined by market participants and analysts are as follows:

■Resistance zone: 13,900 and 14,000 points.

■Support zone: 13,600 and 13,500 points.

From a technical perspective, the index maintaining above the 13,700 band confirms that the medium-term trend is still bullish. Although pricing is forming at the top of the Ichimoku cloud, we must not ignore the tightening in global liquidity conditions. Our algorithmic models indicate that if the 13,900 level is broken as the next critical Fibonacci resistance, an acceleration towards the 14,000 psychological threshold is likely.
