Digital Transformation Boosts Women Producers' Income by 45%: Canada's Diyarbakır Project

Canada's Local Initiatives Fund (CFLI) project in Diyarbakır is empowering rural women producers through digital skills development. The initiative covers 60 agricultural/animal producers and 30 handcraft artists. Meryem Özdemir Ok, CEO of Key Ma Women Cooperative, emphasized the project's goal to enhance women's market access and digital sales capabilities.

Digital Training for Young Women

■15 young women from 5 rural districts will receive training in product photography, digital marketing, and social media.

■After completing the training, these young women will collaborate with 60 producers to develop digital marketing strategies.

Redesigning Handicraft Production

■30 women will participate in design workshops to enhance their products' value.

■The workshops aim to improve product marketability and revenue potential.

This initiative demonstrates how digital skills transfer can boost women producers' income by an average of 45%, while also creating job opportunities in rural economies. Banks can accelerate this transformation by providing more credit support to women-led ventures.
