Ankara Metropolitan Municipality has initiated legal action against former mayor Melih Gökçek, his family, and various executives, accusing them of forming an organized crime group. The municipality's lawyer, Nadi Türkaslan, stated that the purpose of the lawsuit was to uncover whether municipal resources were illegally acquired. Gökçek, in response to statements made by Mansur Yavaş's lawyer, emphasized that these allegations would be scrutinized in court and condemned political attacks as defamatory. The Gökçek family reaffirmed that all legal responsibilities would be addressed in due course and that there would be no unjustified prosecutions.
