AI Browsers: Polar's $5.7 Million Seed Round and Focus on Workflow Automation
Yapay zeka tarayıcıları 2025'te popülerdi, ancak piyasada hızlı bir dönüşüm yaşandı. OpenAI'nin Atlas'ı geçmişe kaldı, The Browser Company Atlassian'a

AI browsers were all the rage in 2025, but the market has seen a rapid shift. OpenAI's Atlas is history, The Browser Company sold to Atlassian, and Firefox offered an AI toggle despite criticism. This year's focus is on browser agents and automation. Perplexity's Comet has also pivoted in this direction. Polar, an AI-first browser for knowledge workers, has launched and secured $5.7 million in seed funding. CEO Kevin Jiang, a former Perplexity employee, emphasized that the browser is not consumer-focused but targets workflow automation. Polar allows users to schedule workflows, save prompts, and assign tasks to agents based on open tabs. The browser is free to use, with daily credits for AI tasks, and premium plans start at $20 per month. Polar aims to become an automation tool, with the browser currently seen as the best platform for this purpose. Madrona partner Sabrina Albert noted the significant potential for automating tasks for knowledge workers. The funding round also included participation from ex-GitHub CEO Thomas Dohmke, Phia founder Phoebe Gates, and Modal CEO Erik Bernhardsson.
Polar's browser automation could revolutionize how knowledge workers operate, potentially boosting productivity in the digital age.
