Quantum Computing’s Cloud Journey: Oracle Partnership Redefines AI and Data Centers

Quantum computing technology, which has spent years confined to labs and press releases, is now stepping closer to the corporate data centers it has long promised. Quantinuum's (QNT) Helios quantum computer, integrated into Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), marks a turning point in how quantum computing can integrate with AI and high-performance computing tools. This partnership positions quantum computing as an accessible tool within existing cloud architectures rather than a separate resource. The Helios system, built with 98 physical qubits and achieving a two-qubit gate fidelity of 99.921%, surpasses the industry's widely cited three-nines accuracy threshold. This also makes it an energy-efficient option: a single Helios system consumes only 1% of the power reported for leading supercomputers.
