Rising Fleet Costs: Data Has Answers
Tır ve kamyon filolarını vuran bakım maliyetleri, son ATRI raporuna göre %8,6 oranında artış gösterdi. Tarifler, dizel teknisyen eksikliği ve ekipman

Maintenance costs for truck and trailer fleets have surged 8.6% according to the latest ATRI report, driven by tariffs, diesel technician shortages, and extended equipment trade cycles. Love's Travel Stops' FleetView platform automates repair invoice processing, coding line items to VMRS standards and cutting invoice processing time by up to 60%. Its AI audit layer cross-references invoices with repair history, national labor benchmarks, and warranty conditions to flag anomalies, reducing maintenance costs by 15-20% in tested areas. Brad Bournes, Love's maintenance manager, warns that deferred maintenance backlogs from the past three years still distort the numbers. 'The fleets that will win over the next few years will be those that adopt this technology and turn their maintenance programs from cost centers into strategic advantages,' he said. Predictive maintenance, which combines sensor data, telematics, and full repair histories to identify failure patterns before they occur, is gaining traction as fleets become more comfortable with AI concepts.
The rising maintenance costs for fleets, compounded by tariff increases and labor shortages, are forcing operators to adopt data-driven approaches and AI technologies to regain operational efficiency. This trend could significantly impact the future performance of the global freight sector.
