AI accounting startup Rillet announced a $100 million Series C at a $1 billion valuation, led by Iconiq. Returning investors include Andreessen Horowitz and Sequoia. Emerging from stealth in 2024, Rillet is rapidly becoming a hot AI startup in the ERP industry. Its platform uses AI to help finance professionals manage a company’s books, automatically pulling data from sources like Salesforce or Brex. With over 600 customers and a doubling of ARR in the past three months, Rillet is scaling quickly. CEO Nicolas Kopp noted the funding was secured in less than 48 hours, citing a partnership with EY, customer growth, and ARR increases. Iconiq’s general partner Seth Pierrepont highlighted Rillet’s vision: 'The general ledger could become more than a system of record and instead the operating system for finance.' Rillet previously raised $70 million in Series B (2023) and $25 million in Series A (2022), totaling over $200 million in funding. The rapid growth of AI startups reflects investor fervor, particularly for those disrupting legacy SaaS players like NetSuite.
This funding signals AI’s transformative potential in ERP, challenging traditional players like NetSuite. The trend offers opportunities, especially in Asia-Pacific’s rapidly expanding enterprises.
