Turkish Airlines' Passenger Numbers Reached 44.5 Million in the First Half of the Year

Turkish Airlines (THY) has increased its total passenger number by 5.5% to 44.5 million in the first six months of 2026. According to the company's announced data, the total passenger number in June decreased by 1.6% compared to the same month last year, reaching 8.1 million. The total available seat kilometers (ASK) decreased by 1.2% to 23.4 billion, while the passenger load factor increased by 2.3 points to 84.5%. When examining THY's international flights, the airline's international passenger number increased by 1.5% to 5.2 million. The passenger load factor on international routes increased by 2.6 points to 84.2%. In the same period, the domestic passenger number decreased by 6.9% to 2.9 million, but the domestic load factor maintained its high level at 88.2%. The most notable growth in June was in the Far East market. In the Far East routes, the available seat kilometers increased by 13.3%, and the passenger number increased by 10.1%. In the Middle East market, ASK decreased by 33.4%, and the passenger number decreased by 13.5%. THY's fleet has reached 552 aircraft. The company's number of destinations increased to 358 as of June 2026, while the active fleet size increased by 13.8% compared to the same period last year, reaching 552 aircraft. Logistic operations also showed double-digit growth rates. In June, the cargo and mail volume increased by 11.6% to 201,500 tons, while the total cargo volume in the first six months increased by 13.3% to 1,157,000 tons.
